Babereki Insurance Brokers was incorporated in 2013 under the provision’s of the Botswana Insurance Act. In the main, BIB provides discounted and tailor-made short term and long term solutions to BOPEU members and the general public. Our mission statement reflects our reason for existence – our core purpose. It describes what we do, who we do it for and for what or whose benefit. Babereki Insurance Brokers (BIB), in conjunction with its partners, identifies and packages risk solutions that will meet and exceed the expectations of their customers. Going forward, BIB will broaden its product range by including other insurance products such as Individual Life insurance, Redundancy Cover, Legal Services Cover and Small Business Insurance. The company’s customers and clients have to date have only included BOPEU members. 2021

Website & Customer Portal Launched

Babereki Insurance Brokers' quest to improve its service delivery channel has seen the insurance broker developing a comprehensive website and customer service protal. These initiatives are done in line with the company's overall strategy of being insurance broker of choice.

2017

Establishment of Branch Network

Babereki Insurance Brokers current have five (5) office around the country including its Head Office in Gaborone. The network serves the different members throughout the country. The services and products of the insurance broker are not limited to BOPEU members only.

2013

Babereki Launched

Babereki Insurance Brokers was established in 2013. The company offers BOPEU members affordable funeral schemes products and a number of added products to manage their risks.

About BOPEU

Botswana Public Employees Union (BOPEU) is a trade union duly registered in terms of the Trade Unions and Employers' Organization Act and fully recognized by the employer as a bargaining agent for its members. BOPEU was founded in 2007 through unionization transformation of the then Botswana Civil Servants Association (BCSA).

BCSA evolved from the merge of the Bechuanaland Protectorate Junior Civil Service Association and the Bechuanaland Protectorate Senior European Service Association in 1960. The history of these two associations dates back to 1942.
